*Mangal Aarti Sermon*

Date: *March 18th, 2025, ISKCON, Surat.*

Reflect on the imperfections in birth, death, old age, and sorrow. Everyone must undergo these (stages in life).

*One is born in a human body to find answers to some questions - Who am I? Where have I come from? Where will I go after leaving the body? What is God? What is my relationship with God?*

The purpose of human life is only to attain The Lord.

Eating, sleeping, satisfying the senses, and protecting oneself. These are the same in man and animal. *Humans can follow the customs (dharma). They are the rules of The Lord. One who is devoid of dharma is like an animal.*

*One should always chant the Name of The Lord while getting up, sitting, eating, and sleeping. There is no rule of place and time to chant. By doing this, one attains Krishna's love. If one attains love for Krishna, then the name of The Lord will come on the tongue at the end (last moments) of life.*

*Human birth is rare. It does not repeat.*

*If tree leaves fall, do not stick to the branch again.*

*At the end of life, while quitting the body who remembers only Me,*

*Certainly achieves My nature, there is no doubt.* (_B.G. 8.5_)

*Whatever state of being one remembers when he quits his body,*

*O son of Kuntī, that state he will attain without fail.* (_B.G. 8.6_)

*It is customary of all gods, humans, and sages,*

*They all love for their selfish reasons.* (_Ramcharitra Manas Kishkindha Kand 4.12_)

*Abandon all varieties of religion and surrender unto Me.*

*I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear.* (_B.G. 18.66_)

*Neither does one bring anything, nor will one take anything*

*Whatever someone gathers here will be left (given) here.*

*Do bhajan of Sri Krishna, and it will be helpful.*

*Money and people will be left behind, but Harinaam comes along.*

*Chant The Name of Hari in every breath. Do not waste even a single breath (without chanting His Name).*

*There is no guarantee that breath will return if now it goes away.*

*New life is a window (in the material world). Oh! Bird (living entity), this life is precious.*

*In a few days, it (the bird) will fly away, and the cage will be empty (become a skeleton).*

हम अज्ञानी हैं और यह नहीं समझ रहे - स्त्री, पुत्र, धन, और बंगला यह सब दूर की चीजें रहीं, यह शरीर भी हमारा नहीं है। यह भी शमशान की अमानत है।

*’हरे कृष्ण' महामंत्र में 'हरे' राधा जी का संबोधन है।*

*ना कुछ साथ लाए थे, ना कुछ ले चलेंगे।*

*जो पाया यहाँ पर, यहीं दे चलेंगे॥*

*मुक्ति कहें गोपाल सौ, मेरी मुक्ति बताएं।*

*ब्रज रज उड़ मस्तक लगे, तो मुक्ति मुक्त हो जाए॥*

*कर लो भजन श्रीकृष्ण का, यह काम आएगा।*

*छूटेंगे धन व जन, मगर यह साथ जाएगा॥*

*जो तुझसे न सुलझे तेरे उलझे हुए धंधे, कृष्ण के इंसाफ पे छोड़ दे तू बंदे।*

*जो तू न कर सका, वो भगवान करेगा, और वही तेरी मुश्किलें आसान करेगा।*
