When the Lord came as Vedavyas, he wrote numerous scriptures, the Vedas and the Puranas. But when He came as Mahaprabhu in Kaliyuga, He spoke only eight (8) verses. This is to convey the message that knowledge is not needed in Kaliyuga, because knowledge leads to ego.

One who gets to be engaged in the service of God is very fortunate as not everyone gets to perform such service.
